Doctors recommend not going to work, public gatherings, schools, walking in the woods, and walking with your dog. Not walking your dog may be an impossible request for many. Some dogs just won’t take quarantine well without walks. Right now in the US theirs no certainty that dog walking won't be banned eventually but for now let's just play it safer on our walks. Here are a few things to remember when walking your dog during the quarantine.

1. Check your areas' current quarantine rules before heading out. Some states in the US are considering implementing curfews. States such as California and NY have already begun fining people for not following social distancing rules. It's better to be safe than sorry.
2. Wear a mask! Many people have tested positive without exhibiting any symptoms. Plus people will avoid you, so theirs your social distancing! Mask may seem silly but like all diseases, scientist are actively learning more about Covid-19 in real-time, so extra protection won't hurt.

3. Social Distancing - Keep 6 feet away from others! We now know the virus can live in the air. So be sure to keep your distance even from your nice neighbors.
According to John Hopkins University, Staying at least six feet away from other people lessens your chances of catching COVID-19.
4. Avoid crowded dog parks - Crowds are just a no-no, but if you get lucky hopefully your pup can sneak in a few minutes with another pup.
5. Shake up the routine - Take your dog on a new route, add a light jog back home
6. Disinfect your dog's leash and harness when you return home
